Target Information
UCMA는 연골세포(chondrocyte) 특이적으로 발현되는 단백질을 암호화하는 유전자로, 태아 및 성장기 골단 연골의 미성숙 상부 영역에서 풍부하게 존재합니다. 이 단백질은 프로테아제 절단을 거쳐 성숙 단백질로 분비되며, 글루탐산 잔기는 비타민 K 의존적 감마 카르복실화를 받습니다. 이 단백질의 저카르복실화는 인간의 골관절염과 연관되어 있습니다. 또한, 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 여러 이소형을 생성하며, Osteoarthritis 및 Poland Syndrome과 관련이 있습니다.
