Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and the development of single-positive thymocytes. Highest expression occurs in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes, with lower expression in mature T cells. Themis associates with PLCγ1 and LAT and is rapidly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are five isoforms of mouse Themis produced by alternative splicing.
