Target Information
The product of this gene catalyzes the last step of the catecholamine biosynthesis pathway, methylating norepinephrine to form epinephrine (adrenaline). The enzyme also has beta-carboline 2N-methyltransferase activity. This gene plays a key role in regulating epinephrine production.
