Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, perform another round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The PKLR gene encodes a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the transphosphorylation of phosphoenolpyruvate into pyruvate and ATP, which is the rate-limiting step of glycolysis.
Defects in this enzyme, due to gene mutations or variations, are a common cause of chronic hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia (CNSHA or HNSHA).
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
