Product Specific Information

Target Information
The Betatrophin protein (also known as hepatocellular carcinoma-associated protein TD26) is an adipocyte- and liver-enriched insulin-targeted gene that may regulate lipid metabolism by controlling serum triglyceride levels.
It is closely related to the angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) protein family. Betatrophin mRNA expression increases in cold environments and after high-fat diet treatment, while it decreases during fasting, suggesting a role in thermogenesis and energy homeostasis.
