HNRPA0는 광범위하게 발현되는 heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs)의 A/B 하위군에 속합니다. hnRNPs는 RNA 결합 단백질로 heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA)와 복합체를 형성합니다. 이 단백질들은 핵 내에서 pre-mRNA와 결합하여 pre-mRNA 처리 및 mRNA 대사, 수송에 영향을 미칩니다. 일부 hnRNP 단백질은 핵과 세포질 사이를 이동하며, 각 단백질은 고유한 핵산 결합 특성을 가집니다. HNRPA0 단백질은 RNA 결합을 담당하는 두 개의 quasi-RRM 도메인과 글리신이 풍부한 C-말단을 포함합니다.
