PIP4K2A (phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase type II alpha)는 phosphatidylinositol-5-phosphate 4-kinase 계열에 속하는 lipid kinase로, myo-inositol 링의 4번째 hydroxyl을 인산화하여 phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate를 생성합니다.
이 효소는 phosphoinositide 신호전달 경로에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 분비, 세포 증식, 분화, 이동 조절에 관여합니다. 또한 β-globin 유전자 발현 조절 및 α-thalassemia 환자에서 Hb H 수준과 관련 있을 수 있습니다.
