Syntrophin alpha-1 (Dystrophin, SNTA1)은 근섬유의 내면에서 발견되는 세포골격 단백질로, Dystrophin 및 관련 단백질과 결합된 주변막 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 syntrophin 유전자 패밀리에 속하며, 구조적으로 유사한 다른 두 개 이상의 유전자가 존재합니다.
Duchenne 근이영양증 환자에서는 Dystrophin이 결핍되어 있으며, Becker 근이영양증 환자에서는 감소된 양으로 존재합니다.
