This antibody detects endogenous levels of total TMED2 protein.
Target Information
TMED2 is a protein coding gene involved in vesicular protein trafficking. It functions primarily in the early secretory pathway and post-Golgi membranes. TMED2 acts as a cargo receptor for secretory molecules, participates in vesicle coat formation, and is involved in both COPII and COPI vesicle-mediated transport. It regulates trafficking of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and contributes to receptor resensitization. TMED2 also facilitates CASR maturation and Golgi apparatus maintenance.
