Description:
The eBioCB-CALLA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, enkephalinase, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein originally identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). CD10 is a Zn²⁺-dependent metallo-peptidase involved in regulating chemotactic and inflammatory processes. It is expressed in B cells, enterocytes, renal tubules, and glomeruli. Partial epitope overlap with MEM-78 has been observed.

Applications Reported:
This antibody is suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Light Sensitivity:
PE-Cyanine5 tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using:

• IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49)
• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54)

Target Information

CD10 (CALLA, Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen):
A cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates various biologically active peptides. Expressed on lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and germinal center lymphoma cells, immature B cells, breast myoepithelial cells, bile canaliculi, fibroblasts, and epithelial brush borders of kidney and gut. CD10 cleaves peptides at hydrophobic residues, inactivating hormones such as glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin. The CD10 gene produces four mRNA transcripts due to alternative splicing of the 5′ untranslated region. Dysfunction is associated with spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
