Target Information
TOB2 is a 344-amino-acid member of the Tob/BTG1 anti-proliferative protein family, characterized by its N-terminal BTG/Tob homology domain. This protein inhibits cell cycle progression from G0/G1 to S phase and regulates transcription through interactions with Caf1, a component of the CCR4 complex. TOB2 is implicated in processes such as spermatogenesis, embryonic patterning, osteogenesis, T-cell activation, and learning and memory. It acts primarily as a transcriptional repressor and is ubiquitously expressed in most tissues.
