Target Information
CD43 (leukosialin, sialophorin)은 대부분의 조혈세포 표면에 발현되는 음전하가 높은 막관통 점액질 유사 단백질입니다. CD43은 세포 부착을 방해하는 반발 장벽을 형성하지만, 특정 경우에는 백혈구 응집을 촉진하기도 합니다. Actin 결합 단백질인 ezrin 및 moesin과의 상호작용을 통해 T세포 형태 변화를 조절하고, 림프구 이동 중 세포 간 상호작용을 조절합니다. CD43 신호는 LFA-1의 접착성을 강화하는 동시에 다른 수용체를 통한 LFA-1 유도 효과를 상쇄합니다. 또한 CD43 발현은 종양 억제 단백질 p53의 기능 활성화를 유도하지만, p53과 ARF 결핍 시에는 종양 증식과 생존을 촉진합니다. CD43은 백혈구 기능의 중요한 조절 인자로 작용하며, Wiscott-Aldrich Syndrome 및 Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma와 관련이 있습니다.
