RECK는 시스테인 풍부한 세포외 단백질로, protease inhibitor 유사 도메인을 가지고 있으며 다양한 종양과 변형된 세포에서 발현이 억제됩니다. 정상 세포에서는 matrix metalloproteinase-9의 음성 조절자로 작용하여 종양 침윤 및 전이에 관여합니다.
