Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms, where it catalyzes various reactions. GST is used in the creation of GST gene fusion systems, allowing purification of fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione. These GST-fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein-protein interactions and have been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
