Reconstitution:

• Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

ZIP3 (SLC39A3) is a zinc transporter belonging to a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is essential for cellular growth, development, and differentiation.
ZIP3 knockout mice show no phenotypic difference compared to wild-type unless ZIP1, ZIP2, and ZIP3 are all deleted under zinc-deficient conditions, indicating their noncompensatory role in zinc homeostasis.
Studies have shown ZIP2 and ZIP3 are downregulated in human prostate adenocarcinoma, suggesting their role in zinc retention within cells.
