Target Information
Programmed death receptor ligand 1 (PD-L1, also called B7-H1) is a B7 family member that binds to the programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1), leading to negative regulation of T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Upon PD-L1 binding, TCR-mediated proliferation and cytokine production are decreased. PD-L1 expression is abundant in many murine and human cancers and can be upregulated by IFN-gamma stimulation, suggesting a key role in tumor immune evasion.
