Himedia Microbial Content Test HiVeg™ Agar

Tryptone Soya HiVeg™ Agar with Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 (Soyabean Casein Digest Agar with Lecithin and Polysorbate 80), also known as Microbial Content Test HiVeg™ Agar, is recommended for determining the efficiency of sanitization of containers, equipment surfaces, and water-miscible cosmetics.

Lecithin and Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80) act as neutralizers to inactivate residual disinfectants from where the sample is collected.
This medium is formulated by replacing animal-derived peptones with vegetable-defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
