Target Information
ErbB3 (c-erbB-3/HER-3)는 성장인자 수용체(type I family of growth factor receptors) 계열의 단백질로, heregulin 계열의 리간드에 결합합니다.
이 단백질은 전립선, 방광, 유방, 위, 췌장, 대장 등 다양한 종양에서 과발현됩니다. Heregulin과 EGF는 c-erbB-3의 티로신 인산화를 서로 다른 정도로 유도합니다.
ErbB3 유전자는 인간 염색체 12q13에 위치하며, 약 6.2 kb mRNA로 전사되어 160/180 kDa 당단백질로 번역됩니다.
이 유전자는 막관통형 수용체 티로신 키나아제를 암호화하며, 다른 EGF 수용체 패밀리 구성원과 이합체(heterodimer)를 형성하여 세포 증식 및 분화 신호 경로를 활성화합니다.
또한, 여러 전사적 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었으며, 일부는 막관통 영역이 결여되어 세포 외부로 분비되어 막 결합형의 활성을 조절합니다.
