Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein with a molecular weight of 33–37 kDa, depending on phosphorylation status. It is expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, as well as a subpopulation of T lymphocytes and follicular dendritic cells. CD20 is involved in regulating calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. It remains on the cell surface after antibody binding, making it a valuable target for therapeutic B-cell depletion. CD20 dysfunction is associated with Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
