For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ep-CAM (epithelial adhesion molecule, ESA) is a transmembrane glycoprotein (~40 kDa) expressed in epithelial tissues.
It mediates Ca²⁺-independent homotypic cell adhesion and influences cell cycle, proliferation, and metabolism through activation of c-myc, cyclin A, and cyclin E.
Ep-CAM overexpression correlates with enhanced epithelial proliferation and is highly expressed in human carcinomas, serving as a marker for epithelial lineage tumors.
It is localized on the basolateral surface of most simple epithelia and carcinoma cells, distinguishing adenocarcinomas from pleural mesotheliomas.
