Target Information

Otlertuzumab is a biosimilar antibody targeting CD37. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family). These are cell-surface proteins characterized by four hydrophobic domains and are involved in signal transduction related to cell development, activation, growth, and motility. The encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that complexes with integrins and other tetraspanins, possibly playing a role in T-cell–B-cell interactions. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
