Antibody detects endogenous levels of total JAML1.
Target Information
AMICA is a transmembrane protein located in the plasma membrane of leukocytes. It regulates migration and activation through interaction with CXADR, a receptor on epithelial and endothelial cells. This interaction activates gamma-delta T-cells involved in tissue homeostasis and repair. Upon CXADR binding, JAML triggers PI3-kinase and MAP kinase signaling, leading to T-cell proliferation and cytokine production that promote epithelial tissue repair. It also mediates leukocyte transmigration through adhesive interactions with CXADR.
