Target Information

B cell linker protein (BLNK) is encoded by the BLNK gene located on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP-65 (Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa).
BLNK acts as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. Deficiency in BLNK leads to improper B cell development.
BLNK is phosphorylated by Syk kinase, providing a platform for interaction with signaling intermediaries such as Vav GEF and Grb2.
