Target Information
DNAJB6 encodes a member of the DNAJ protein family, characterized by a conserved J-domain. These proteins act as molecular chaperones involved in protein folding and oligomeric complex assembly. DNAJB6 may play a role in polyglutamine aggregation in neurons. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants.
