Target Information
c-maf는 기본 영역 류신 지퍼 도메인 전사 인자(basic region leucine zipper domain transcription factor) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, LRPICD와 상호작용하는 류신 지퍼 도메인을 포함합니다. 사람 c-maf mRNA는 long형과 short형 두 가지 형태가 있으며, AS42 조류 레트로바이러스의 유전체에서 확인되었습니다.
c-maf는 Th2 세포의 IL-4, 수정체 섬유세포의 crystalline gene, 췌도의 insulin gene, p53 및 L7 유전자 발현을 조절합니다. Maf recognition element (MARE)에 결합하여 전사 조절 기능을 수행하며, Th2 분화와 혈액세포계 특이적 조혈을 조절합니다. 또한 LPS로 활성화된 대식세포에서 IL-10 발현을 조절하는 전사 인자로 작용합니다.
maf를 포함한 염색체 이상은 다발성 골수종의 일부 형태에서 발견되며, 골수종 세포주 및 휴지기 단핵구/대식세포에서 발현됩니다.
