Target Information
DTX2 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and regulates Notch signaling, a pathway involved in cell-cell communication and cell-fate determination. It may act as both a positive and negative regulator of Notch depending on developmental and cellular context. DTX2 mediates the antineural activity of Notch, possibly by inhibiting transcriptional activation mediated by MATCH1. It functions as an ubiquitin ligase protein in vitro, suggesting a role in Notch pathway regulation through ubiquitin ligase activity.
