Antibody detects endogenous levels of total FHL2.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the four-and-a-half-LIM-only protein family. Family members contain two highly conserved, tandemly arranged zinc finger domains, each binding a zinc atom via four conserved cysteines.
The FHL2 protein is involved in extracellular membrane assembly and is down-regulated during the transformation of normal myoblasts to rhabdomyosarcoma cells. It may act as a link between presenilin-2 and intracellular signaling pathways. Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
