Target Information
This gene encodes a coactivator of the androgen receptor, a transcription factor activated by androgen and essential for male sexual differentiation. The encoded protein regulates androgen receptor activity and may be implicated in prostate cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
