Target Information
The Eph subfamily represents the largest group of receptor protein tyrosine kinases identified to date. Although their biological activities are not fully defined, evidence suggests involvement in central nervous system function and development.
Human Eph receptors and their homologs include EphA1–A8 and EphB1–B6. Ephrin ligands such as ephrin-A4, ephrin-A2, ephrin-A3, and ephrin-B2 interact with specific Eph receptors, mediating cell signaling and developmental processes.
