Target Information
hCG beta는 인간 융모성 생식선자극호르몬(hCG)의 베타 사슬로, 수정 후 10~12일경 태반의 영양막 세포에서 생성되는 40 kDa의 당단백질 호르몬입니다.
hCG는 알파와 베타 두 개의 비공유 결합된 소단위로 구성되어 있으며, 알파 사슬은 FSH, LH, TSH의 것과 유사하지만 베타 사슬은 각 호르몬의 생물학적 특이성을 결정합니다.
임신 초기 태아 유지에 필수적이며, 난소 황체를 자극하여 프로게스테론 생성을 유도함으로써 분비성 자궁내막을 유지합니다.
비임신 상태의 소변 및 혈청에서는 극미량 존재하지만, 임신 시 급격히 증가합니다.
hCG 이상과 관련된 질환으로는 융모막종양, 포상기태 등이 보고되어 있습니다.
