Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존적 세포간 접착 단백질로, cadherin 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 고전적 cadherin입니다. 이 단백질은 다섯 개의 세포외 cadherin 반복 영역, 하나의 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 말단 영역으로 구성됩니다.
CDH1 유전자의 돌연변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등과 연관되어 있으며, 발현 감소 또는 소실은 암의 침습성과 전이 가능성을 증가시키는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
E-cadherin은 세포 성장과 조직 구조 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며, 세포 간 부착을 통해 조직의 무결성을 유지합니다. 인간에서 CDH1 유전자는 염색체 16번에 위치합니다.
