Target Information
HnRNP A1 belongs to the A/B subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). These RNA-binding proteins complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA) and are involved in pre-mRNA processing, mRNA metabolism, and transport. hnRNP A1 contains two quasi RRM domains that bind RNAs and is localized to the nucleoplasm. It is one of the most abundant core proteins of hnRNP complexes and shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm, likely bound to mRNA.
