Target Information
IL-16 단백질은 다기능성 사이토카인으로, T 세포 활성 조절, 화학주성 인자, HIV 복제 억제 등의 역할을 합니다. CD4를 매개로 신호 전달이 이루어지며, 단백질은 절단 과정을 거쳐 두 가지 기능성 단백질을 생성합니다.
C-terminal 펩타이드가 사이토카인 기능을 담당하며, N-terminal 제품은 세포 주기 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. Caspase 3가 절단 과정에 관여하는 것으로 보고되어 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사 변이체가 생성됩니다.
