Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating B cell activation and proliferation. Mutations can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression is linked to B cell hyperactivity.
