Target Information
CPSF4 (Cleavage and Polyadenylation Specific Factor 4) is an essential component of the 3′ end processing machinery of cellular pre-mRNAs. The influenza A virus NS1 protein interacts with CPSF4, inhibiting the nuclear export of poly(A)-containing mRNAs in infected cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
