• Reconstitution: Add 50 µL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature; store at -20°C upon arrival.

• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Target Information

CD56 (NCAM, neural cell adhesion molecule)은 면역글로불린 패밀리에 속하는 막관통 당단백질로, 신경계에서 접착 분자로 작용하며 120–180 kDa 범위의 여러 isoform으로 존재합니다.
CD56은 T 세포 및 NK 세포에 발현되며, 세포 이동, 축삭 성장, 경로 탐색 및 시냅스 가소성에 관여합니다. Polysialic modification은 CD56 매개 세포 접착을 감소시킵니다.
CD56의 세포외 영역은 laminin 및 integrin과 같은 세포외 기질 성분과 결합하여 동종 및 이종 결합을 매개합니다.
CD56은 retinoblastoma, medulloblastoma, astrocytoma, neuroblastoma 등 신경외배엽 유래 세포주 및 종양에서 널리 발현됩니다. 또한, 신경내분비 종양 및 난소 granulosa 세포 종양의 민감한 신경내분비 마커로 사용됩니다.
CD56 기능 이상은 rabies 및 blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms와 관련이 있습니다.
