Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사와 관련된 퍼옥시다제 계열 단백질입니다. 약 50여 종의 동형단백질이 존재하며, 활성 부위의 시스테인 잔기와 티올 특이적 항산화 활성을 특징으로 합니다.
포유류 Prx는 6가지 멤버(typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx)로 구성되며, 대부분 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용한 환원 시스템을 통해 TPx 활성을 가집니다.
Prx 단백질의 분자량은 20–30 kDa이며, 세포질(Prx I, II, VI), 미토콘드리아(Prx III), 소포체 및 분비계(Prx IV), 과산화소체 및 미토콘드리아 등(Prx V)에 분포합니다.
