AURKA (Aurora A)는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로서 세포 분열 시 중심체와 결합하여 유사분열을 조절합니다. 다양한 암에서 과발현이 관찰되며, 세포 주기 조절 및 염색체 분리 과정에서 중심체/방추체 영역의 기능에 관여합니다. 또한 유방암, 난소암, 대장암 등 여러 인체 암에서 높은 발현을 보이며, 항암제 개발의 잠재적 표적으로 연구되고 있습니다. 조직 특이성: 고환에서 높게 발현되며, 골격근, 흉선, 비장에서 약하게 발현됩니다.
