Target Information
SIRT5는 Sirtuin(Sir2-like) 단백질 계열에 속하는 인간 단백질로, 원핵생물과 진핵생물 모두에서 발견됩니다. 모든 Sir2-like 단백질은 보존된 서열 모티프를 포함하는 sirtuin core domain을 가지고 있습니다.
이들은 NAD를 대사하며 mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase로 작용할 수 있습니다.
최근 연구에서는 Sir2가 NAD와 상호작용하여 히스톤 탈아세틸화 및 NAD 대사를 조절하는 기전이 제시되었습니다.
