Target Information
PUS7 is a pseudouridylate synthase that catalyzes pseudouridylation of RNAs. It regulates protein synthesis in embryonic stem cells by modifying tRNA-derived fragments (tRFs), which inhibit translation initiation. PUS7 also catalyzes pseudouridylation of mRNAs with the consensus sequence 5'-UGUAG-3'. It binds various RNA types, including snRNAs, Y RNAs, and vault RNAs, suggesting broad pseudouridylation capability.
