Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The APCS gene encodes a glycoprotein belonging to the pentraxin family, characterized by a pentameric structure. Members of this family share significant sequence homology due to gene duplication. The encoded protein binds to pathological amyloid cross-beta fold proteins, suggesting a chaperone-like role. It may also regulate chromatin degradation and bind to apoptotic cells at early stages, indicating involvement in apoptotic cell clearance in vivo.
