Target Information
CAMK1D (CaMK1 delta) is a serine/threonine kinase that belongs to the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family.
It is expressed in polymorphonuclear leukocytes and may be part of the chemokine signal transduction pathway regulating granulocyte function.
CAMK1D may also be involved in modulation of neuronal apoptosis.
The calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 1D-beta isoform exhibits Ca²⁺/CaM-dependent activity, and CAM-Kkalpha upregulates CAMK1D-b activity through phosphorylation of Thr180.
