B-lymphoid tyrosine kinase (BLK) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the Src family.
BLK plays a key role in B-cell activation. Protein kinases transfer phosphate groups from ATP to substrate proteins, mediating signal transduction that regulates metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement, cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation.
