배경 (Background)
This gene encodes a transcription factor belonging to the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) protein family. It regulates genes containing antioxidant response elements (ARE) in their promoters, many of which are involved in cellular defense against injury and inflammation, including free radical response. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
