Target Information
Lymphotactin, also known as XCL1, is a member of the C-chemokine family that acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes but not monocytes or neutrophils. It plays an important role in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation. Lymphotactin signals through chemokine XC receptor 1 (XCR1), is most abundantly expressed in the spleen, and at lower levels in the lungs, small intestine, and colon. It is selectively produced by activated T cells, particularly CD8+ T cells, and also by NK cells.
