Target Information
YAP (Yes-Associated Protein)은 WW 도메인 단백질 패밀리의 창립 멤버로, 전사 공동활성화자이자 온코진입니다. 이 유전자는 편평상피세포암 세포에서 전사적으로 활성화됩니다.
YAP은 공동활성화자(coactivator)와 공동억제자(corepressor)로 모두 작용할 수 있으며, Hippo 신호전달 경로의 핵심 하위 조절 타깃입니다.
Hippo 경로는 세포 증식을 억제하고 세포자멸사를 촉진함으로써 기관 크기 조절과 종양 억제에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 조직 장력, 3D 조직 형태, 세포 증식, 세포 사멸, 세포 이동 등에도 관여합니다.
