Target Information
Adipose tissue는 에너지 저장소로서, 다양한 생리학적 단백질을 생성 및 분비합니다. 이러한 단백질에는 lipoprotein lipase (LPL), leptin, Acrp30, resistin, perilipin 등이 포함됩니다.
Perilipin은 중성 지질 방울 표면에 위치한 세포내 단백질로, 호르몬에 의해 조절됩니다. Lipolytic 자극에 반응하여 protein kinase A에 의해 인산화되며, 활성화된 perilipin은 hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL)의 활성을 억제합니다.
Perilipin은 adipocyte 및 steroidogenic 세포에만 발현되며, Perilipin A와 B 두 가지 isoform이 알려져 있습니다. 두 단백질 모두 단일 복제 유전자로부터 파생된 alternative splicing의 결과입니다.
