Target Information
ALDH1A1은 aldehyde dehydrogenase 계열의 단백질로, 알코올 대사의 주요 산화 경로에서 두 번째 효소로 작용합니다. 간에서 발현되는 두 가지 주요 isoform(세포질형 및 미토콘드리아형)은 전기영동 이동성, 효소 특성, 세포 내 위치에 따라 구분됩니다. 대부분의 백인은 두 가지 주요 isozyme을 가지지만, 약 50%의 동양인은 미토콘드리아형이 결여된 세포질형만을 갖습니다. 이러한 차이는 동양인에서 급성 알코올 중독 빈도가 높은 원인 중 하나로 보고됩니다.
