This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human Neurogenin-3 (NEUROG3).
Target Information
Neurog3 protein contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain. It is both necessary and sufficient to induce endocrine islet cell differentiation from embryonic pancreatic progenitors.
Neurog3 not only initiates endocrine cell differentiation but also promotes islet cell maturation and maintains islet function.
It has been reported that Neurogenin 3 can redirect the differentiation of bipotential secretory progenitors to endocrine rather than goblet cell fate.
