The Human IL-12 p70 Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures IL-12 p70 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, enabling creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously with a Luminex instrument.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results within four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.

기술적 특징

Luminex beads are internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is labeled with antibodies specific for a single target protein. Bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE). This approach enables simultaneous analysis of multiple targets in one well.

The key difference between ProcartaPlex and ELISA is that the capture antibody is conjugated to a bead rather than adsorbed to a microplate well, allowing reagents to remain free-floating in solution.
Detection is performed using Luminex instruments equipped with dual lasers — one identifies bead spectral signatures, the other quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.
